About

Who

The author burned his first set of runes into oak at eighteen, fifteen years ago, and keeps it still.

Why the poems

Three medieval poems are the closest thing we have to a record of what the runes meant to the people who carved them. Everything after them is interpretation, and it is named as interpretation.

What is used

The Old English Rune Poem of the 10th century, the Norwegian Rune Poem of the 13th, and the Icelandic Rune Poem of the 15th. Where they disagree, the disagreement stays visible.
