Wyrd comes when the answer is not written yet.
The meaning
Wyrd is the blank rune: an empty face where you expected a sign. It is not a mistake and not a refusal. Some outcomes are still forming, some choices have not been made, and some knowledge would change you if it came too soon. The blank stone marks the part of your story that is still yours to write.
Where it comes from
The blank rune is young: it entered rune sets only in the twentieth century, and purists argue about it to this day. Its name borrows the Old English wyrd — the web of what-becomes, older than the gods themselves. Even Odin could not unweave it.
