The meaning
Not the strength that wants to beat others. The strength that helps you stand on your own. This is the rune of health, endurance and will. It appears when you need a deeper reserve of energy: to heal, to get through a hard time, to rise after a loss, or to finish something that turned out harder than it looked. Uruz promises no easy road. It reminds you that the strongest things are not born in comfort, but in trial. There is strength you can show the world. And there is strength only you know about. Today it is the second one that matters most.
Where it comes from
Uruz is the aurochs. A huge wild ox that lived in the forests of Europe for thousands of years. The last one died in 1627, but its shape stayed in language, in legend and in the runes. To the northern peoples the aurochs was not just a strong animal. It stood for the living, primal force of nature, the kind you cannot tame by command. They say young men proved their manhood by facing it. Not because they could beat it. But because they were ready to meet their fear. That is why Uruz became the rune of a strength no one can give you. It can only be found within.
